New Student Orientation
Welcome to our Community of Bears! Whether it's your first time starting college or you're coming from another school, we're excited to have you. Here at UNC, we put students first. That means we're all about helping you succeed from day one. A big part of this is our New Student Orientation (NSO) programs. They're designed to help you get ready for college life.
Starting college for the first time or transferring from another institution? We're thrilled to welcome you aboard. At UNC, our priority is you, the student. We're dedicated to supporting your success right from the start, and our New Student Orientation (NSO) programs play a vital role in that. These programs are crafted to prepare you for your college experience.
Attending NSO is a great way to kickstart your journey, though it's not mandatory. These one-day sessions are offered during June and July, providing flexibility to fit your schedule.
If you have any questions or if attending NSO is not possible for you, please reach out to us. We're here to explore alternative arrangements to support your transition.
Registration is required and family/support persons are encouraged to attend. Sign in to your admitted student portal to register.
During Orientation, attendees will:
-
- Meet current students and connect with future classmates
- Discover UNC's culture and traditions!
- Learn about support services, pickup your Student ID Card
